Why are dance classes important for children? 

Dance classes are an amazing way to improve children's mental and physical well being. From a huge growth in confidence and making more friends outside of school, to a stronger sense of co-ordination, strength and musicality, the list goes on.

What if my little one is nervous?

All of our classes have at least one assistant as well as the main teacher which allows any student who needs it to have a little more 1-1 attention where needed. All of our teachers are very calm and encourage students to take classes at their own pace, never pushing a student to do something they don't want to do. All of our classes come with a no obligation free trial to ease students into the class and parents are welcome to wait in the waiting area and watch the class through the viewing window so they can see their child having a wonderful time.

 

What are the progression opportunities as my child gets older?

When students are old enough, they can join our associate school, Surrey Dance Works where there are lots more classes to choose from and they can even take part in exams and competitions.

Are there any performing opportunities?

All of our students aged 3 and over can take part in out annual show at The Princes Hall Theatre in Aldershot. It is a lovely opportunity for your children to show you what they have been working on in class and a huge confidence boost for all students involved. .

Do the classes benefit parents too?

At Surrey Dance Works, we strive for a positive environment for everybody involved, including the parents. It's not just the students who make friends for life at Surrey Dance Works, so many of our dance parents have made amazing friends through our dance classes too.
