The benefits of dance classes
Dance classes are an amazing way to improve children's mental and physical well being. You will see a huge growth in your child's confidence and independence, they will make lots more friends outside of school and developing a stronger sense of co-ordination, strength and musicality.
Dance is also a great way for children to start understanding emptions and be able to express themselves in a safe and encouraging environment.

What if my little one is nervous?
Our younger classes have at least one assistant which allows any student who needs it, to have a little more 1-1 attention. All of our teachers are very calm and encourage students to take classes at their own pace, never pushing a student to do something they don't want to do.
All of our classes come with a no obligation free trial to ease students into the class. Parents are welcome to wait in the waiting area and watch the class through the viewing window to see their child having a wonderful time.

What are the progression opportunities?
We have a huge range of classes at Surrey dance Works and we put multiple dance styles on the same day to make it extra convenient for parents. As the students get older, we have even more styles for them to choose from such as street dance and tap dance. When students are in year 2, they have the opportunity to take part in ISTD exam is they wish to. If they don't want to take exams, they can still move up the grades when they are ready.

Are there any performing opportunities?
All of our students aged 3 and over can take part in our annual show at The Princes Hall Theatre in Aldershot. It is a lovely opportunity for your children to show you what they have been working on in class and a huge confidence boost for all students involved. All younger students have on stage helpers with them so they aren't alone on stage.

Parents
As well as watching your child gain confidence, learn new skills and perform on stage. there are other benefits for parents at Surrey Dance Works. We strive for a positive community of like minded dance parents - it's not just the students making life long friends at Surrey Dance Works. So many of our dance parents have made amazing friends through their child's dances classes and we absolutely love the community we have built through dance.
